The plate is the main lever.

While tissue is repairing, extra inflammation mostly comes from what you eat. The patterns that cut that load hardest are ketogenic eating and, at the far end of the same idea, carnivore.

Healing already runs an inflammatory phase on purpose. Cleanup crews arrive. They send messages so the next crew knows where to work. That fire is supposed to peak, then quiet, so new tissue can line up instead of knotting. A second fire from what you eat keeps the first crew shouting. The audio series gives the mind a true picture of the repair. What you eat decides whether the body agrees.

Food is the number one way to stop feeding extra inflammation.

What to eat while you heal.

Healing already started. What you eat is one of the few things you still control. Most people do not know which fish to eat, or that leftover inflammation can stay on from sugar, starch, and seed oils.

Which fish. What else to eat. What keto and carnivore actually mean. What to drop this week, and why.

Educational only. Not a meal plan, not medical advice, and not a substitute for your physician. Speak with that physician before you change how you eat.

Sugar, white flour, packaged snacks, food fried in seed oil, and alcohol keep the alarm ringing. The blood stays busy writing the same inflammatory messages the injury already sent. Take those foods out of daily eating and the cleanup crew has a chance to leave so the builders can work.

Why keto, and carnivore

A ketogenic pattern keeps carbohydrate low enough that the body makes ketones. Ketones are not only fuel. They quiet the cell’s alarm. That is a mechanism, not a slogan.

Carnivore is the stricter end of the same move: animal food, almost no plant starch, no packaged snacks, no sugar, no seed-oil junk. Many people who last on it are in ketosis a lot of the time. The meat also gives the tissue what it is built from. We lean here because both patterns do the first job this page exists for: they stop feeding the second fire.

People worth starting with: Dr. Georgia Ede is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist. She is part of a group of doctors and researchers who published guidelines in Frontiers in Nutrition for using ketogenic eating in mental illness. She says sugar, starch, and seed oils raise inflammation in the brain and the body. Dr. Chris Palmer is also a Harvard psychiatrist. He treats mental illness as a problem of how the brain is fueled. Ketogenic eating can lower inflammation in the brain, not only change mood. Dr. Dominic D’Agostino’s research showed that ketones lower inflammation. He is a coauthor on the 2015 paper that measured that. Then Dr. Anthony Chaffee, on carnivore as a human diet. Talks and papers are below.

This is not a meal plan we sell, and it does not take the place of the physician who already knows your body. Anyone considering ketogenic or carnivore eating needs to speak with that physician before they start, including people who take no medication at all. These ways of eating change the body’s fuel and can change the effect of medicine already in use, so that conversation is required, not a courtesy.

KetogenicVery low carbohydrate, enough fat to stay in ketones, protein as the tissue needs it. Trials in overweight and obese adults show a common inflammation marker coming down. The ketone itself is the quieting signal.
CarnivoreMeat, salt, water. Some people add eggs or dairy. There is not yet a large randomized trial. There is a survey of more than two thousand adults, plus years of first-person reports of quieter joints, skin, and gut. We share it because it is the cleanest way to take the inflammatory load out of what you eat.

Studies

Read the papers if you want the details. They show that ketones and these ways of eating move inflammation down, after the first cleanup is done.

Talks and first-person reports

Stories are not trials. They are still how a lot of people first notice the fire going out: pain easing, swelling dropping, sleep returning. Watch, then read the papers above if you want.

This page will grow. If a video or paper belongs here, say so. The audio series is still the product: a true picture of what the tissue is supposed to do. What you eat is the other lever you actually have.
